We can’t offer microneedling in Cary if you have any open wounds, sores, or skin cancer spots. We also can’t treat you if you have any bleeding conditions, are pregnant or nursing, are currently on Accutane or have recently been on it, or if you have had a past allergic reaction to anything used in the microneedling process.
We don’t do one-size-fits-all treatments at LunaSol, so it is hard to give a definite number prior to an in-person consultation with one of our providers. Generally, guests interested in microneedling need multiple sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, and treatments needed can range from 3 to 5 sessions. With multiple sessions, your results compound upon one another, achieving greater results with every visit. Over time, you will notice that textured skin begins to smooth, scars start to fade, visible pores appear to shrink, and stubborn lines and wrinkles soften.
Your comfort is always a priority to us, and we will do our best to ensure your experience is not painful. We use a topical anesthetic on your treatment area before beginning your microneedling session. This will take approximately half an hour to fully soak into your skin and provide the necessary numbing, and treatment will only begin after it has taken effect. In addition to the anesthetic, the SkinPen device is also adjustable in depth to support your comfort and safety.
