Dr. Nguyen came to the United States after the Vietnam War. His family settled in Cleveland Ohio where at the age of 5 he saw snow for the first time. Dr. Nguyen grew up in the Cleveland Metro area. He attended Case Western Reserve University and graduated with a B.A. in biology. Dr. Nguyen continued his education at Case Western Reserve University Medical School and obtained his MD. He chose to further his training at one of the smallest most rural family practice residencies in the small town, Blackstone, south of Richmond. He spent three years in Blackstone making house calls and also moonlighting in the local emergency department. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Nguyen accepted a full-time position in the emergency department there. Dr. Nguyen went on to practice at many other facilities within North Carolina and Virginia. With over 17 years experience in the emergency department, Dr. Nguyen places great attention and detail to maintaining patient safety.

Hana is a licensed Medical Esthetician, and graduated from Aveda Institute Chapel Hill in 2011 and has been in medical skincare since. She is very passionate about helping people with their skincare needs and achieving the best results. To expand her diverse skills she attended the “Aesthetic Show” education seminar in Las Vegas in 2017 and the “Women of Color” education seminar in Las Vegas in 2011, enhancing her knowledge of patients with darker skin types III-VI. Some of her specialties include custom facials, hydrafacials, acne treatments, chemical peels, dermaplaning, microneedling, and laser treatments. Previous experience in extensive assisting in minimally invasive medical procedures like Smart-lipo and Thermi-Tight. Additionally, she is knowledgeable and trained with a variety of different skincare products: Image, PCA, Neocutis, Skinmedica, Alastin, and EltaMD. Hana enjoys spending time with family and friends, and hiking with her dog Smokey.

Paula is a rare Raleigh native and has been working as a Registered Nurse for over 30 years. The majority of her nursing career was spent in Women and Infant Services at Wake Med. She has been part of our staff since the opening of Luna Sol and quickly made the transition to Nurse Injector. Paula has been through extensive training and is certified in injectable treatments such as neuromodulators and fillers, our various laser treatments, and body contouring treatments. She has attended the World Congress American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine in Chicago and the Bellafill Summit for Success in Dallas. She has a passion for research and learning and has brought many new techniques and treatments to the spa. Paula values getting to know her clients, helping them achieve their personal aesthetic goals, and was awarded an Aesthetics Everything Top Aesthetics Nurse 2019 Award.

Paula is happily married to Philip and they have four sons, a granddaughter, and grandson between them. She enjoys loving on her three cats, reading historical fiction, embroidery, concerts and the theater, and loves to travel.

She has worked with numerous Medical grade skincare lines and is an expert at educating her clients about skincare treatments and skincare regimens.
